Summary and scope
The contractor is to provide general waste, recycling and sanitation services for both the Bebegu Yumba Campus located in Douglas Townsville and the Nguma-bada Campus at Smithfield Cairns. The objective of this tender is to appoint a suitable panel for both the Townsville and the Cairns campus. Tenderers may price for all, some or one of the services depending on their capability, resources, and licenses. JCU is committed to embed sustainability across all aspects of its operations and continues to implement strategies that minimise environmental impact, conserve resources and promotes long term ecological balance. The contractor will be required to work with JCU to reduce waste landfill and are encouraged to identify and inform JCU of any new waste recycling streams that will divert waste from landfill. Services will include but will not be limited to: General Waste Commingled Recycling Paper Recycling Cardboard Recycling Liquid Waste (mechanical workshops) Bulk Waste skip bins Sanitation Services Clinical & Pharmaceutical Waste Grease & Inceptor Trap Waste Florescent Tubes
