Summary and scope

Sunshine Coast Council is seeking a suitably qualified Principal Contractor to construct a section of coastal pathway along the Alex Bluff Foreshore Park, Alexandra Headland. The section of pathway stretches approximately 680 linear metres and comprises of a concrete pathway, elevated boardwalk and viewing platform. The scope of work includes, but is not limited to: • Concrete pathway construction; • Elevated boardwalk construction; • Viewing platform construction; • Public furniture construction; • Landscape works (hardscape, furniture installation and planting); • Lighting and electrical work; • Installation of wayfinding signage; • Traffic and pedestrian management; • Site management including environmental, WH&S, Sub-contractor management; and • Maintenance and defects liability period The successful contractor will be required to provide all materials, plant and labour to perform all necessary operations, to ensure delivery of the scope of works associated with this Contract. Works must be carried out in a professional and safe manner that will minimise impact on pedestrians, traffic and visitors to the area. Pedestrian access must be maintained around the works and provide safe connections to the adjoining footpath network. This is a lump sum contract with an anticipated commencement of early February 2026, with Functional Completion required by 1 September 2026. A site information session will be held as per the details set out in Schedule 2.
