The Town of Port Hedland is inviting submissions from visionary and experienced food and beverage operators to transform the iconic former Port Hedland Yacht Club premises into a vibrant, high-quality, waterfront dining destination. Positioned at one of the most breathtaking coastal vantage points in the region, this two-level property offers uninterrupted views of the ocean channel and spectacular sunsets over the Indian Ocean. Situated within the $187.5 million Spoilbank Marina development, the venue, and its new operator, is uniquely placed to shape the social and cultural heartbeat of Port Hedland. To support the success of the incoming operator, the Town of Port Hedland is investing over $2 million in refurbishments and upgrades to the venue. These works are already underway and are expected to be completed by December 2025, ensuring the premises are refreshed, modernized, and ready for activation. This commitment is part of a broader strategy to activate the entire precinct, including: • Construction of a $4 million adventure playground within the Spoilbank Marina • Supporting the establishment of the Port Hedland Aqua Park • Development of business cases for the commercial development of the Northern and Western Revetments • Planning for a caravan park to the east of the Marina • Development of a precinct structure plan for Port Hedland’s West End These investments are designed to create a vibrant, family-friendly coastal hub that attracts both locals and visitors, driving sustained foot traffic and commercial opportunity.
