Request for Information: Baling Operator & Logistics Services for Agricultural Plastics Recycling

Summary and scope

Swan Hill Rural City Council is seeking information from service providers and relevant industry stakeholders to support the development of an effective and sustainable service model for the collection, baling and transportation of agricultural plastic waste from the municipality to both regional and metropolitan recycling facilities. Central to the proposed service is the use of a Council-owned mobile baler, mounted on a trailer, which will enable more efficient handling and transportation of agricultural plastic waste. This initiative forms part of Council's Circular Agricultural Plastics Economy (CAPE) project. The information gathered during this process will assist Council in developing a formal tender specification that clearly defines the requirements, scope of works and contract framework for the proposed future service.
