Weed and Vegetation Management at Council's Active and Dormant Waste Management Facilities

Summary and scope

Council requires a contractor to continue developing and implementing sustainable solutions to ecosystem management of the operational and adjoining natural areas at Katoomba, Blaxland, Lawson and Blackheath Waste Management Facilities (WMF). The contractor is required to develop work programs and to undertake works in accordance with the Vegetation Management Plan (VMP) for each site. The contractor will be required to update the existing VMPs for Katoomba, Blaxland and Lawson, and to prepare a new VMP for Blackheath. A key pre-lodgement condition is a mandatory site inspection and tour of the Katoomba, Lawson and Blaxland facilities. Any prospective Tenderer that fails to attend the compulsory site inspection tour may be disqualified from submitting a Tender. The tour will be held on Wednesday 5 November, meeting at Blaxland WMF at 9.00am, and concluding at Katoomba WMF at approximately 3.00pm.
