Summary and scope

The existing water supply infrastructure in Passage Avenue, Shute Harbour Qld 4802, is aging and suffering frequent breakages requiring emergency repairs. Whitsunday Regional Council (the Principal) prepared a design for a new robust water supply arrangement for Passage Avenue and Neerim Crescent, which will ensure uninterrupted water supply and improved water quality and pressure. The Principal requires a suitably qualified Contractor (the Contractor) to construct new watermain along Passage Avenue and a part of Neerim Crescent, as per the Scope of Works (the Works). The Passage Avenue section of works comprises construction of a replacement watermain, largely within the existing alignment, requiring decommissioning and removal of the old watermain. The Neerim Crescent section of works comprises a construction of a new link within the existing water supply network to eliminate the dead end and improve water quality and pressure. Council will be holding a non-mandatory Site Tender Briefing on Tuesday 21st October 2025 at 2.00pm at 1 Passage Avenue, Shute Harbour 4802. PPE is required for this site briefing, as a minimum steel cap boots and hi-vis vest. Please confirm your attendance at this meeting via contracts@whitsundayrc.qld.gov.au no later than 12 pm, Monday, 20th October 2025. All enquiries must be directed through the 'Communications Forum' in VendorPanel.
