Wollongbar Sports Oval Reconstruction

Summary and scope

Council is seeking to engage a suitably qualified and experienced contractor for the design and construction of a sporting oval at Wollongbar NSW. Works require the repair of all areas impacted by the recent demobilisation of a pod village to return the site to a fit for purpose sports oval. - Repair and rectification of all areas not in a fit for purpose condition following the handover of the site from public works. - Irrigation systems or management plans to ensure establishment of a new turf surface. - Reconstruction and establishment of sports field surface. o Cultivate, remove rocks and debris and laser level surface to provide an evenly graded dome profile consistent with the preconstruction profile. o Add soil improvements. o Import and spread 200mm minimum thickness imported topsoil and laser level to design grades o 5mx5m grid survey final levels. o Stolonise or lay turf and establish. o Fertilisation and top dressing to ensure 100% coverage for consolidation.
