Dauan Island PHCC Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Rectification Project

Summary and scope

Torres and Cape Hospital and Health Service (TCHHS) has identified that the existing HVAC systems at the Ugar Primary Health Care Centre (PHCC) require upgrades to meet current regulatory standards, address mould issues, and improve fresh air circulation to enhance occupant comfort and safety. This Mechanical Specification, together with the associated drawings, defines the minimum requirements for the plant, equipment, and associated works. It does not represent a complete design. The current design has been developed to approximately 90% completion and is issued for tender on a Design and Construct (D&C) basis. The successful Mechanical D&C Contractor shall be fully responsible for the final design, documentation, Form 15 (Design) certification, supply, delivery, construction, installation, testing, commissioning, Form 16 (Installation) certification, and a 12-month Defects Liability and Maintenance Period.
