Supply, Test and Maintain Gas Detectors

Summary and scope

Mackay Regional Council (Council) invites submissions from suitably qualified Suppliers for the supply, test, maintenance, and training of gas equipment. The tender is divided into two distinct categories, and suppliers may submit proposals for either one or both categories, depending on their qualifications, capabilities, and areas of expertise. Category 1- supply of gas equipment (a) Supply of gas detectors and associated gas equipment utilised across Council operations. Category 2 – testing, maintenance and training (a) Testing, maintenance and training of gas detectors and associated gas equipment utilised across Council operations. Areas of utilisation include: (a) water and wastewater treatment; (b) chlorinated water pump stations; (c) change out of chlorine gas cylinder; (d) sewer network; (e) reticulation and sewer maintenance holes; (f) CCTV of the network; (g) bridge work; and (h) storm water lines and culverts. The aim is to ensure consistency, reliability, and compliance in the management of confined spaces equipment and to ensure legislative and best practice requirement are met. Council’s gas detector fleet is required to monitor air quality for confined space entry and hazardous sites within the Mackay region and assist with chemical treatment of water and wastewater sites
