Summary and scope

Purpose: This notice is issued for informational purposes only. No Scope of Works or additional details are available at this time. Overview:: The Major Projects (MP) function is responsible for driving excellence in seamless major projects integration and readiness within Queensland Rail (QR). The dedicated team provides operational, commercial, and strategic management of QR’s project delivery safety performance, customer service performance and other relevant project delivery aspects. The Major Projects Group is working with external sponsors, stakeholders, and delivery entities to work toward delivering a number of major projects within Southeast Queensland including, but not limited to: • Cross River Rail (CRR); • Logan and Gold Coast Faster Rail (LGCFR); • Beerburrum to Nambour (B2N); • ETCS - Beenleigh to Varsity Lakes (B2V); • ETCS Moorooka to Kuraby (M2K); • ETCS – Kuraby to Beenleigh (B2V); • SEQ ETCS L2 Roll-Out; • Direct Sunshine Coast Line (DSC); • New Albion Station; • Roma Street Station; and • Next Generation Rollingstock. Indicative Scope: The Scope of Services is updated to incorporate additional requirements that were not included in the previous panel. The Consultancy Services that may be required are: • Technical Advisory • System and Asset Acceptance • Specialist Engineering • Safety Assurance and Accreditation • Planning and Scheduling Management • Program Delivery Management • Operational Advisory • Specialist Integration Services • Human Factors • Rail Safety Specialists Timing: Existing contracts are due to expire August 2026. The tender is expected to be released by 17 November 2025. Note: This is a forward procurement notification only. No further information is available at this stage.
