Summary and scope

Contract No. T26014 - Chapel Street Projection Art and Illuminations 2026 EOI Expressions of Interest are invited for temporary projection art and illuminations for buildings and facades along Chapel Street in July 2026. Chapel Street is one of Melbourne's most diverse and iconic precincts and Council has commenced delivery of the Chapel Street Precinct Improvement Plan, formally adopted in June 2025. The plan includes the presentation of feature activations and creative experiences to drive visitation, increase foot traffic, spend and exploration throughout the precinct. Council is seeking proposals for spectacular, large-scale and/or site-specific temporary projection art and illuminations. Transforming the iconic Chapel Street into a stunning free exhibition of contemporary art, architectural projection and light, appealing to a wide demographic. An industry briefing will be held online on Thursday 20 November 2025 – refer to the EOI documents for further details. NOTE: The Vendor Panel online forum closes five business days prior to the abovementioned tender closing date. Council reserves the right not to accept the lowest or any Tender, or part thereof. Tenders received after the closing time will not be considered.
