Summary and scope
GIICA is seeking to engage with experienced and qualified principal consultants to undertake concept design services to finalise Project Validation Reports (PVR) for the following Games Venues: Venue 1 - Toowoomba Showgrounds. Venue 2 - Rockhampton Flatwater Facility. Venu 3 - Brisbane International Shooting Centre. Venue 4 - Queensland Tennis Centre. Venue 5 - Chandler Sports Precinct. These venues serve as major regional hubs, hosting a range of sporting and community activities, and are used by local, regional, and community sporting organisations. Each facility has been identified to undergo upgrades to meet Games requirements and world-class standards. The works will enhance existing infrastructure, improve functionality and amenities, and increase capacity where required to support national and international event hosting opportunities. The upgrades will build on the existing status and reputation of each venue, providing modernised facilities and enabling the venues to continue serving their communities while accommodating large-scale events. Specific improvements include modernisation of infrastructure, enhancements to spectator amenities, and the provision of new seating or upgrades to existing seating capacities, allowing the facilities to host high-profile competitions. These upgrades will also leave a long-term legacy by supporting continued community use and attracting future sporting events. Full details will be provided in the ITO documentation.
