REVENUE TENDER - Rollingstock Advertising Revenue Generation

Summary and scope

Queensland Rail Limited (Queensland Rail) is looking at establishing an exclusive contract with a commercial advertiser who can provide Commercial Out-of-Home (OOH) Advertising Services in the form of printed and digital format on the inside of rollingstock owned by both Queensland Rail and the Department of Transport and Main Roads (DTMR) that operate on the South East Queensland (SEQ) network.The SEQ network includes 154 stations and provides 8,503 services each week, supporting our customers to reach their destination safely and on-time. Across the last financial year (FY25), 54.9 million passenger trips were taken on the SEQ network, an increase of more than 16 per cent when compared to FY24.Please note:• The contract will only be with Queensland Rail as a formal agreement is established between Queensland Rail and DTMR for the use of their rollingstock for advertising purposes.• The contract will commence on 1 July 2026 with an initial term of five years with one optional extension of three years.• The contract will be established on a share of revenue and minimum guaranteed amount.The anticipated timeline is as follows:• Tender close: 2pm AEST on 27 February 2026• Evaluation and approval to award: 24 April 2026• Contract execution: 12 June 2026• Contract commencement: 1 July 2026Refer to the enclosed tender documents for details.
