Summary and scope
Penrith City Council is delivering a upgrade to transform Cook Park into a high-quality sport and recreation precinct.The development of Cook Park is critical to the strategic transformation of St Marys and the Penrith Local Government Area. It was prioritised as a major project in the Penrith Sport and Recreation Strategy.Upgraded football facilities are a key feature of the project including a new synthetic playing surface and amenities building, resurfacing three additional fields with natural turf, grandstand refurbishment, floodlighting and seating.This project is funded through the NSW Government’s Western Sydney Infrastructure Grants Program and the Australian Government's Priority Community Infrastructure Program, in partnership with Council.
