The Redland Whitewater Centre (RWC or RWC Project) will be a premier purpose-built venue for canoe slalom, whitewater recreation and rescue training, providing a world-class facility for elite competition and training, emergency services training and community recreation. Located in the Redlands Coast region, the venue will serve as a key Games facility and a lasting legacy for the broader South East Queensland community. Planned to host the Olympic canoe slalom events, the Redland Whitewater Centre will be designed to meet international standards while offering flexibility for training, community recreation, and emergency services training use before and after the Games. The development of RWC Project will deliver significant upgrades to local infrastructure and amenities, establishing the RWC as a destination for water-based sports and outdoor recreation. As a legacy of the Games, the facility will attract national and international events, promote tourism, and provide enduring social, economic, and environmental benefits to the community.
