Summary and scope
Bundaberg Regional Council would like to engage with tenders that are required to dewater/desludge facultative lagoons at our Woodgate Wastewater Treatment Plant that services Woodgate township and Kinkuna. The treatment process consists of: Inlet works, Four lined lagoons in series, Lined wet weather storage and Associated electrical and mechanical equipment. The effluent is disposed of through irrigation on site. The total area of the lagoons is approximately β 12,300m2 with an average depth 1.6m. The intent is to have a staged approach with Lagoon 4 to be the first to be dewatered to alleviate ragging issues. (other lagoons may be discussed pending on approach and costing submitted to council). The purpose of this project is to de-sludge the lagoon and dispose of the de-watered sludge in an environmental acceptable manner. Options utilising Vacuum Tankers have not been successful on there own in the past and we require the broader market for the proposal options. Size of lagoon 4 is attached and approximate depth of sludge is 400mm deep. Council would also like to keep lagoon 4 in operation whilst dewatering is taking place but are willing to consider all option proposed. Onsite inspection is to be on Wednesday 11.03.26 at the end of Draper Drive off Woodgate Road. Please contact prior to day so all arrangements can be made.
