Summary and scope

A previous creative lighting treatment was installed in Woodriff Lane, Penrith in 2019. This lighting treatment project constructed new frames for the light poles and utilised a lampshade design with a sailcloth covering. The existing sailcloth has now worn and has been removed from the frames. The project seeks to renew the existing lighting infrastructure to enhance safety, vibrancy and night-time activation within a key pedestrian link connecting High Street, Allen Place, and Edwards Place Car Park. The project will be delivered in two stages: Stage 1: Creative Lighting System - Upgrade the existing lighting system to incorporate an RGBW lighting system to allow Council the ability to control and modify light colours as desired. Stage 2: Creative Treatment Overlay - Deliver a cohesive lighting treatment utilising the existing frames. The design should consider a lifespan of 5+ years, withstand all weather conditions, and integrate with the new RGBW creative lighting system. This procurement application applies to Stage?1 of the project only. A separate procurement process for Stage 2 of the project will be released at a later stage.
