Summary and scope

Palm Island Aboriginal Shire Council is seeking Tenders from suitably qualified Civil contractors to undertake unsealed road repair and drainage Emergency Works works at multiple locations on Palm Island, Queensland. These works are to be administered under the Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements (DRFA) and relate to natural disaster damage commencing in December 2025.The works primarily consist of light formation grading and placement of bulk fill/road base to repair damaged sections of unsealed roads and restore safety and access.Council has identified the repair locations and documented them with site photographs. The Request for Tender is issued on a Schedule-of-Rates basis with estimated quantities.The tender response schedules included details of the estimated Scope of Works.Works will occur on unsealed roads across Palm Island, and all works must be completed by 30 June 2026.
