Summary and scope

Replacement of the existing causeway on Howards Grass Road with a new precast box culvert, including base slab, headwalls, concrete approach slabs, scour protection, and road reinstatement.The Contractor shall remove the existing causeway on Howards Grass Road and construct a new precast concrete box culvert in accordance with the design. The structure will consist of four (4) 2.1 m × 0.9 m precast concrete box culvert units installed on a reinforced concrete base slab. Works include excavation, foundation preparation, installation of culvert units, and construction of headwalls. Riprap scour protection will be placed at the inlet and outlet. Concrete approach slabs will be constructed, along with associated cut and fill to tie into the existing road. The Contractor shall provide and maintain sediment and erosion control measures and ensure access is maintained for local residents during construction.Please see MMW document and attachments for further details.
