**Ballina Shire Council** is inviting qualified service providers to submit quotations for the processing of commingled recyclable materials. This opportunity focuses on materials generated specifically from domestic and commercial self-haul activities at the **Ballina Resource Recovery Centre**.
#### 📋 Scope of Work
- **Duration:** 5-year contract with 2 x 1-year extension options.
- **Volume:** Approximately 200 tonnes per annum.
- **Requirements:** Successful bidders must operate a licensed **Material Recovery Facility (MRF)**.
- **Logistics:** Council intends to transport materials in 30m³ hook lift bins where cost-effective; otherwise, third-party logistics (60m³ hook lift or 100m³ walking floor) will be utilized.
#### 🔑 Key Qualifications
Interested parties must demonstrate:
- Current **Environment Protection Licence (EPL)** issued by the NSW EPA.
- Proven experience in similar waste processing services.
- Robust WHS, Environmental, and Quality Management Systems.
- Comprehensive insurance coverage (Public Liability, Workers Compensation, and Fleet).
- Understanding of local conditions and potential social impacts on the local economy.
