Summary and scope

The Department of Education invites organisations to apply to lease and operate an Early Childhood (EC) service at a department-owned facility co-located at 5 Moore Street, Ravenshoe. The successful applicant will be required to operate an approved EC service catering for children from birth to school entry age, based on the identified needs of the local community. The applicant must be an existing Approved Provider, eligible to apply for a service approval to operate under the Education and Care Services Act 2013 (ECS Act) or Education and Care Services National Law (Queensland) Act 2011. Eligible organisations may apply to access limited hours care funding to support the viability of this service. This funding is confirmed until 30 June 2027.
