🛡️ Emergency Response Team (ERT) Tender: Borumba PHES Project Queensland Hydro is seeking professional Emergency Response Team (ERT) services for the Exploratory Works phase of the Borumba Pumped Hydro Energy Storage (PHES) Project. This critical contract covers a two-year period for a remote site located in the Sunshine Coast hinterland. 📋 Scope of Work The successful bidder will act as the primary responder for site-wide emergencies, bridging the gap before professional emergency agencies arrive. Key responsibilities include: Personnel & Equipment: Provision of trained ERT members and specialized equipment, including 4WD firefighting appliances, vertical/confined space rescue gear, thermal imaging, and spill response kits. Planning & Compliance: Development and maintenance of a comprehensive Project Emergency Response Plan, conducting risk reviews, and performing light vehicle compliance inspections. Operational Readiness: Providing 24/7 coverage (day shift on-site, night shift on-call/on-site) to manage credible scenarios such as traffic incidents, industrial accidents, bushfires, and hazardous material spills. 🏗️ Project Context The Borumba Project involves complex activities including underground tunneling, geotechnical drilling, and heavy vehicle movements across steep, unsealed terrain. The site is remote, necessitating a robust, self-sufficient emergency response capability. 🔑 Key Requirements Accommodation: On-site camp facilities are provided by Queensland Hydro at no cost. Integration: The ERT must work in conjunction with existing on-site medical providers and principal contractors. Safety: Strict adherence to safety and environmental pre-qualification standards is mandatory.
