### 🌿 Tender Overview: Invasive Plant Management
The **Sunshine Coast Council** is inviting tenders for the provision of invasive plant management services across its road reserve network. This initiative is part of the council's ongoing Biosecurity Program, aiming to maintain a sustainable and healthy regional environment.
#### 📋 Scope of Work
The successful contractor(s) will be responsible for managing priority invasive plant species through two primary service streams:
* **Environmental/Sensitive Area Management:** Utilizing bush regeneration techniques such as cut-and-swab, stem scrape-and-paint, and targeted spraying. This may also include small-scale planting of endemic vegetation to suppress weed reinvasion.
* **Region-wide Seasonal Spray Program:** Targeting agricultural and pastoral weeds using high-volume mobile spray units, supplemented by knapsack and spot spraying.
#### 🏗️ Contract Structure
This is a **Schedule of Rates contract** spanning three years, with a potential 12-month extension. The contract is divided into three separable portions:
1. **North:** Road Reserve Invasive Plant Management (Environmental/Sensitive Areas)
2. **South:** Road Reserve Invasive Plant Management (Environmental/Sensitive Areas)
3. **Agricultural:** Pastoral Priority Invasive Species Program (Region-wide)
#### 🔑 Key Requirements
* Contractors must provide all labor, transport, plant, herbicides, equipment, signage, and traffic control.
* Works must be performed in a highly responsive, efficient, and environmentally sensitive manner.
* Integration with GIS mapping is required for reporting and management.
This opportunity is ideal for environmental service providers with expertise in weed management, bush regeneration, and large-scale agricultural spraying. Interested parties may bid on any or all of the three separable portions.
