Summary and scope

Hinchinbrook Shire Council has secured funding under the Queensland Government’s Works for Queensland Program to deliver a package of community infrastructure projects across the Hinchinbrook Shire. The program is intended to enhance public recreational facilities, improve accessibility, support community wellbeing, and provide long-term benefits to residents and visitors through the renewal and development of key public assets.This Design and Construct Contract encompasses four separable portions located at Borello Park (Lucinda), Merv Whacker Park (Ingham), Leo Park (Trebonne), and Vince Corbett Park (Forrest Beach). The works comprise a combination of planning, community consultation, detailed design, approvals, and construction activities, ranging from playground and park upgrades through to the delivery of new recreational facilities and public amenities.
