Southern Cross Reserve Oval is a Council-managed, multi-use sporting facility comprising a single irrigated oval with a turf wicket block and supporting amenities. The oval is classified as a Class 1 sports field within Toowoomba Regional Council’s sports field hierarchy due to the quality of the playing surface, the level of supporting amenities and the availability of oval lighting.The facility supports a high level of seasonal community sport. During summer, it is used for Toowoomba A Grade Cricket competition, including limited-over, night fixtures and T20 night games. During winter, the oval supports Downs Rugby competition and AFL Darling Downs competition.
