Summary and scope
The Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) invites responses to this Request for Information (RFI) from suppliers of technology products, platforms, data, integration and related services that may support the Transport Coordination Centre (TCC).The Transport Coordination Centre (TCC) Program is a multi-year TMR transformation initiative to establish a statewide, integrated, multi-modal transport coordination facility and operating model. TMR will lead the TCC as a multi-modal operations centre that integrates Queensland’s key transport modes, including road, rail, bus, light rail and ferry. The TCC will oversee real-time network management, optimisation, disruption response, customer communications, demand management, data analysis and performance reporting. Its vision is to enable safer, smoother and more reliable travel for passengers and freight across Queensland through reduced travel times, improved journey reliability, faster incident response, personalised updates, increased freight efficiency and more efficient use of existing transport infrastructure. The TCC will be established before the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games and will scale to manage Games-time transport demand. The TCC Program has multiple delivery streams. This RFI is issued by the Technology stream and relates to the operational systems, platforms, data and enabling technology required for the TCC to deliver its services.
