Summary and scope

Cassowary Coast Regional Council invites suitably qualified and experienced Respondents to submit a Tender for the Design and Construction of accessibility, functionality and customer service improvements at the Dorothy Jones Library, Tully (Contract No. CCW000437).The project will be delivered as a Design and Construct contract and comprises two separable portions:Separable Portion 1 – Internal Accessibility and Functional UpgradesInternal refurbishment and building alterationsCustomer Service and Library Counter upgradesAccessible amenities upgradesFixed joinery, cabinetry and shelvingSecurity, technology and building services upgradesRoof replacement worksAssociated demolition and refurbishment worksSeparable Portion 2 – Rear ExtensionRear building extensionMultipurpose RoomLocal History RoomStore RoomCovered landing and external stairsFixed joinery, storage cupboards and shelvingAssociated building services and external worksThe successful Respondent will be responsible for design development, statutory approvals, construction, testing, commissioning and handover of the Works.Location: Dorothy Jones Library, 34–40 Bryant Street, Tully QLD 4854.Project Timing: The Principal's requirement is for Separable Portion 1 and Separable Portion 2 to achieve Practical Completion by 30 June 2027.A mandatory site inspection will be conducted as detailed within the Tender documentation.Tenderers must demonstrate experience in Design and Construct building projects, refurbishment of occupied facilities, roof replacement works and public building extensions.Council reserves the right to award one, both or none of the Separable Portions.
