Summary and scope
The Department of Primary Industries (DPI) is seeking supplier/s to provide specialist professional services supporting DPI-led delivery of FarmTechConnect. The supplier may engage subcontractors with relevant specialist expertise and will remain responsible for coordinating and delivering all contracted services and outputs. DPI will retain overall responsibility for program leadership, producer-facing delivery and relationships with project partners.DPI requires a consistent approach that enables extension providers to support producers to identify priority farm business challenges, assess digital readiness, evaluate suitable technologies and return on investment, develop staged adoption plans, and implement and integrate technology into existing production systems. The program must support productivity, profitability and resilience outcomes, with a primary focus on red meat enterprises and application to relevant mixed-farming systems. The supplier will translate the pilot’s findings, experience and available resources into an integrated package comprising the program framework, producer workbook, extension workflows, digital literacy learning materials, decision-support resources, facilitator training and implementation guidance. Existing pilot outputs must be assessed and retained, refined or adapted where appropriate, with additional development directed towards identified gaps. The completed package must be tested with producers and extension personnel, refined through documented feedback, and handed over with editable resources and clear guidance. Practical training must equip DPI and partner extension providers to confidently deliver, maintain and adapt the program beyond the supplier’s engagement.
