🚆 Tender Overview: Regional Rail Fleet Technical Engineer Transport for NSW (TfNSW) is seeking a Rail Fleet Expert Technical Manager to provide critical technical advice and project management services. The primary objective is to ensure the successful design, implementation, and operational readiness of the Regional Rail Fleet, specifically focusing on the first train entering revenue service on time. 🛠 Scope of Work The successful contractor will oversee specific train modifications, including: Crew Operating Model: Implementation of additional door controls, CCTV, Automatic Selective Door Opening (ASDO) with RFID, and revised Train Control Monitoring System alerts. Ergonomic Improvements: Permanent installation of crew cab steps and enhanced cab instrument backlighting. Project Management: Guiding the project through design to implementation and navigating the regulatory approval processes for new rail fleet entry. 📋 Requirements & Qualifications Scheme Membership: Respondents must be registered as an Advanced Supplier under the Whole of Government Performance & Management Services Scheme (SCM0005).
