Summary and scope
The Northern Peninsular Area Council is looking to upgrade the lighting at the Bamaga Football Oval to Queensland Rugby League Seniors standards (200 Lux).There are existing lighting poles at the ground, but it would be preferable to replace these with poles that can be lowered for maintenance. NPARC will consider multiple options from suppliers to achieve the 200 Lux standard for the lowest lifecycle cost.Automatic and remote control of the lights is desirable.The lights must be installed prior to the start of the 2027 football season - say 1 June 2027. Remembering that the wet season makes travel and construction works difficult from December to April each year. This is a design and construct project. NPARC would be willing to evaluate a number of proposals from each supplier.
