Summary and scope

Project: North West Hub Alliance Project owner: John Holland Pty Ltd Location: NSW Australia Work package status: Closed Scope: Full Scope Work package description: The subcontractor shall carry out street sweeping operations across designated major and local roads within the project area to maintain clean and safe work zones. Sweeping shall be performed before, during, and after construction activities, including potholing and subsurface utility investigations, to remove debris, dust, and loose materials. All equipment used must be suitable for urban environments and capable of handling both dry and wet waste, with appropriate disposal methods in accordance with environmental regulations. The subcontractor is responsible for coordinating sweeping schedules with traffic control setups to ensure minimal disruption to public and construction traffic. Daily logs of sweeping activities, including areas covered, waste volumes, and equipment used, must be submitted to the principal contractor for review and record-keeping. Project overview: Sydney Water Corporation (the Principal) has appointed the Alliance Partners consisting of John Holland, KBR & Stantec under the Head Contract, to perform the design, construction, commissioning, and completion of the Budget 1 Northwest Treatment Hub (NWTH) Growth Program (Package 2 Riverstone WRRF)Significant growth in Sydney's Northwest Growth Area and Metro Northwest Urban Renewal Corridor will create increased demand for wastewater services from each of the systems within the (NWTH) Growth Program area, including Castle Hill Water Resources Recovery Facility (WRRF), Rouse Hill WRRF and Riverstone WRRF.This increased demand (forecasts indicate a 75% net flow increase by 2025), will exceed the capacity of existing the wastewater treatment systems. In addition, existing license non-conformances will worsen with growth. Tightening of effluent discharge limits into the Hawkesbury Nepean River system along with emerging PFAS regulations also drives a need to improve NWTH WRRF system performance.Key program highlights include:The works comprise of Riverstone WRRF Liquid Amplification Works to augment the plant treatment capacity for growth and meet EPL licence requirements. It includes:- Augmentation to existing Inlet works.- New Secondary treatment process.- Modifications to Chlorine Contact Tank.- High Voltage Infrastructure.- Low Voltage Infrastructure.- Ancillary Systems.- Plant SCADA/PLC.- Chemical storage and dosing systems.- Roads and Drainage- New Effluent PipeworkRiverstone WRRF Liquid Amplification works (current scope): Upgrade of the liquid stream from the current 19 ML/d nameplate capacity to 41 ML/d ADWF.GATEWAY BY ICN COMPANY REGISTRATIONYour Gateway by ICN company profile and any registrations of interest you submit are used to assess your organisation's ability to complete projects.Click here to create a new company profile or to login to your existing company profile. Please ensure your business invests the time and energy required to represent itself in the most effective manner possible when completing and/or updating your company profile.John Holland strongly encourages suppliers to contact ICN in the first instance to gain an understanding of the EOI process and work packages.
