Summary and scope
The Emerald Botanic Gardens are situated on the banks of the Nogoa River and were established in 1987. The gardens cover an area of 42 hectares and have approximately six kilometres of walking tracks throughout. Council has progressively been upgrading the walking paths throughout the gardens from the initial 1m wide path to a 2.5m wide path. Council has engaged a landscape architect to review the existing pathways and provide a plan for upgraded pathways from the entrance of the gardens through to the previously upgraded pathway at the southern end of the gardens along with a section of pathway on the eastern side of the gardens. This scope of work is for the pathway on the eastern side of the gardens and includes removal of the existing bitumen pathway, installation of a drainage structure, and installation of a new pathway. All suppliers intending to submit a response to this request must ensure they are currently registered and licensed with the QBCC.
