✈️ Project Overview Great South is seeking proposals for the Private Capital Attraction, Development, and Operation of the Te Anau Airport Manapōuri. This critical regional asset, which serves as a gateway to the Fiordland Basin, is currently operating at a financial deficit. The goal is to transition the facility into a commercially sustainable and investment-ready operation while ensuring the Council retains ownership, Airport Authority status, and strategic control. 🎯 Scope of Work Interested parties are invited to submit proposals covering one or more of the following areas: Airport Management: Full operations and management services. Infrastructure Development: Aviation-related facilities, including hangars, jet storage, and residential hangar-home developments. Delivery Models: Design–Build–Operate (DBO) frameworks for aviation infrastructure. Commercial Diversification: Complementary commercial activities aligned with the Draft Airport Master Plan. Sustainability & Innovation: Integration of onsite renewable energy (solar), low-emissions infrastructure, and support for emerging aviation technologies such as electric and hydrogen-powered aircraft. 📋 Key Requirements Successful bidders must demonstrate: Strong capabilities in airport operations and commercial development.
