🌊 Project Overview Whangarei District Council is inviting proposals for Technical Support Services to facilitate the Whangaruru–Oakura Community Adaptation Planning (CAP) pilot project. This initiative is a collaborative effort co-designed with the Ngātiwai Trust Board (NTB) to address climate change vulnerabilities in the Whangaruru/Oakura catchment, an area currently recovering from significant weather events. 🎯 Scope of Work The successful consultant team will provide comprehensive technical support to the Council project team. Key responsibilities include: Project Governance & Facilitation: Supporting the project structure and stakeholder engagement. Community Engagement: Facilitating inclusive processes with local iwi-hapū and community members. Technical Analysis: Conducting climate risk assessments and evaluating adaptation options (optioneering).
