Summary and scope
Based on the condition assessment completed by Andrew Golding dated 8 August 2024, the project is focused on improving the weathertightness performance of the Library building through remediation of the external building envelope. i. The works include replacement of existing wall cladding systems, installation of new cavity-based cladding and associated flashings. ii. Replacement of soffit linings, and reinstatement of affected rainwater goods and external building elements. iii. These works are intended to address identified weathertightness deficiencies and improve the long-term durability and performance of the building. iv. The recommended works are intended to improve the overall weathertightness performance of the building, address identified defects, reduce the risk of ongoing water intrusion, and protect the long-term integrity of the building structure.
