Summary and scope
Project: Parramatta Light Rail - Stage 2 Enabling Works Project owner: John Holland Pty Ltd Location: NSW Australia Work package status: Open Scope: Full Scope Work package description: Aluminothermic Welding of Rail Install Only Project overview: Transport for NSW awarded the $322 million contract for the delivery of the Parramatta Light Rail - Stage Two Enabling Works package to John Holland. These works include delivery of a 320-metre bridge over the Parramatta River between Wentworth Point and Melrose Park and bridge approaches on either side, totalling 1.3 kilometres. Parramatta Light Rail Stage 2 will connect Stage 1 and the Parramatta CBD to Sydney Olympic Park via Camellia, Rydalmere, Ermington, Melrose Park and Wentworth Point. The new bridge will connect communities on the north and south of the river, and will feature an innovative, long-span cast in situ balanced cantilever design. The design means the bridge will only have two piers in the river, minimising disruption to boats and other waterway users and protecting the sensitive marine environment. It marks the first major bridge crossing the Parramatta River since the Ryde Bridge was completed nearly 40 years ago. This work will also see upgrades to surrounding public spaces including Archer Park.Bridge construction will commence towards the end of 2025 with a completion date of early 2028.ICN GATEWAY COMPANY REGISTRATIONYour ICN Gateway company profile and any registrations of interest you submit are used to assess your organisation's ability to complete projects.Click here to create a new company profile or to login to your existing company profile. Please ensure your business invests the time and energy required to represent itself in the most effective manner possible when completing and/or updating your company profile.John Holland strongly encourages suppliers to contact ICN in the first instance to gain an understanding of the EOI process and work packages, such as their ICN Gateway Profile Improvement Workshops.
