Construction of the new Combined Mess . Management of the entire building construction from acceptance of site to commissioning, handover and through the defect liability period. . Engagement, coordination, and management of all subsubcontractors and suppliers across all trades and disciplines. . Works include: . Bulk Earthworks and associated retaining walls . In-ground works; . Building structure; . Building envelope; . Internal and external fit out; . Landscaping (soft and hard) . Overall Roof area of A12 Mess for EOI measures at 7,800 sqm Project overview: About the Project Owner Riverina Redevelopment Joint Venture (RRJV) - comprising of CPB Contractors and Downer.CPB Contractors (www.cpbcon.com.au) is a subsidiary of CIMIC Group Limited. Downer (www.downergroup.com) is listed on the Australian Securities Exchange.The ProjectThe Riverina Redevelopment Project is a program of works across three Department of Defence establishments including:Albury Wodonga Military Area (including North, South & East Bandiana, Latchford Barracks, Wirlinga)Blamey Barracks (Kapooka)RAAF Base WaggaThe scope comprises major upgrade or replacement of existing infrastructure and facilities to support Defence capability for the next 30 years.The Project is valued at in excess of $1b and will incorporate a variety of elements including:Construction of new messing and living in accommodationConstruction of new training facilitiesRefurbishment and upgrading of existing buildingsConstruction of new car parksRemedial works and upgrades to infrastructure servicesThe proposed capital investment is $1.1 billion and is yet to be considered or approved by the Government or Parliament. The RRJV has been appointed to plan, and subject to approvals, deliver the Program works to gain efficiencies in planning, standardisation of design, cost and time efficiencies in Program approvals and construction packaging/delivery. There is also an intent to maximise local and Indigenous industry participation.The Program is currently in Planning Phase where the design will be developed to 90% and site investigations will be undertaken.The RRJV is seeking registrations from interested suppliers, consultants and contractors looking to be involved in this program of works.The indicative program milestones are:Apr 22 - Contract Award for Planning PhaseAug 24 - Delivery Phase Approval - inclusive of all Defence, Government and parliamentary approvalsDec 31 - Completion of the last Stage of WorksNov 32 - End of last Defence Liability PeriodGeneral Information on ProjectFor the avoidance of doubt, this is not the first stage of a multi-stage procurement. In other words, potential tenderers that choose not to participate in this market sounding process will not be prevented from or disadvantaged in participating in the subsequent request for tender (RFT) process, if any. There is no contract being created by this process and RRJV is under no obligation to take into account any information presented or submitted by a registrant.
