Project: Current Opportunities to Tender and Quote with Wollongong City Council Project owner: WOLLONGONG CITY COUNCIL Location: NSW Australia Work package status: Closed Scope: Full Scope Work package description: Wollongong City Council (Council) wishes to engage a contractor for the remediation works at 127 Lawrence Hargrave Drive, Austinmer. The works are required to address damage caused by the February-March 2022 natural disaster (AGRN1012) and ensure long-term stability and safety of the coastal pathway and adjacent infrastructure. The infrastructure delivery program is an investment plan in investigation and delivery of new, expanded, renewed and decommissioning of public infrastructure.Infrastructure assets managed by Council include: Footpaths and cycleways Local roads and car parks Public swimming pools Stormwater pipes and drains Libraries and other community buildings Playgrounds, parks and sport fields A key deliverable from Council's annual planning cycle is the development of the 4-year Infrastructure Delivery Program. This is a $821m program (Capex + Operations/Maintenance) over 4 years.Through this process, Council reviews the needs of our community as well as the services Council provides, then prioritises the projects that can be delivered to help facilitate these services based on the resources available. The 2025-26 - 2028-29 Infrastructure Delivery Program identifies investments in over 429 projects; all of which contribute to building an extraordinary Wollongong.Key infrastructure investment priorities include:. The delivery of new community infrastructure including the new Southern Suburbs Community Centre and Library, Helensburgh Community Centre and Library and Darkes Sporting and Community Hub. Design and construction of significant infrastructure to support continued growth in the West Dapto Urban Release Area, including major upgrades to both West Dapto Road and Cleveland Road Infrastructure to mitigate flood risk and the renewal of Council's existing stormwater network infrastructure. Extending and renewing Council's shared pathway and footpath network. Playground and sports field renewals. Renewal of road pavements Supporting a sustainable waste management facilityOur ongoing projects are generally long-term activities or projects made up of multiple stages or parts. Many of these projects are supported by a master plan or strategy.This presents significant opportunities for local businesses to work with Council.
