This page has been created to gather a database and understanding of local contractors to be shared with the EPC contractor once appointed.About the Coleambally Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) Project:The Coleambally BESS Project is a 100MW / 400MWh (4 hour) standalone Battery Energy Storage System located in southern New South Wales, approximately 7.5 km north of the Coleambally township in the Murrumbidgee region.The project complements Octopus Australia's existing generation footprint in the area, particularly the Darlington Point Solar Farm, by providing flexible dispatch capability and strengthening grid reliability.The facility will charge from excess daytime solar generation and discharge during evening peak demand periods, supporting New South Wales' statutory target of 2GW of new storage by 2030.The project will connect to the electricity network via a 1 km underground cable to the Transgrid Coleambally 132 kV Substation to be extended by Lumea/Transgrid.
