Project overview: The Avonbank Mineral Sands Project is a mining and processing facility located in northwest Victoria, under development by WIM Resource Pty Ltd. The Project will operate for approximately 36 years and is expected to create around 200 construction jobs and 232 operations jobs each year.Development ApproachThe Avonbank Project is planned to occur in 3 general stages:Stage 1 - Construction of WIM Base Area (Offices, workshop, stores, Wet Concentration Plant, and load out facilities) - 24 monthsStage 2 - Establishment of the mine contractor facilities and excavation works for the start of the mining box cut (8-12 months)Stage 3 - Operation of the mine and processing facilities (+ 30-year duration)Contracts and ProcurementWIM Resource is committed to engaging local suppliers and contractors from the Wimmera Southern Mallee region who meet our requirements and fall within our safety and commercial risk profile, where practicable.
