🏗️ Project Overview: The Wave (Rail) Stage 1 Brownfield Package The Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR), in partnership with the Beerwah Coast Connect Alliance (Laing O'Rourke, Hatch, and Georgiou), is seeking Expressions of Interest (EOI) for the Clearing and Grubbing work package (Tender ID: icnwp141985). This project is a critical component of 'The Wave,' a major infrastructure initiative delivering a new passenger rail line and metro-style service connecting Sunshine Coast communities. 📋 Scope of Work This package is part of the Stage 1 Brownfield works, which involve extensive upgrades to rail, station, road, and associated infrastructure in the Beerwah region. Key project elements include: Rail Infrastructure: Upgrades to Beerwah Station, new platforms, track modifications, and the construction of a new grade-separated rail junction. Transport Integration: Development of bus interchanges, active transport links, and park-and-ride facilities. Civil Works: Clearing and grubbing, drainage, earthworks, retaining structures, and utility relocations. Technology: Implementation of the European Train Control System (ETCS Level 2). 🎯 Requirements for Bidders Registration: Interested suppliers must submit EOIs via the ICN Gateway and are encouraged to register on the Beerwah Coast Connect Felix - Enterprise Marketplace Platform.
