๐๏ธ Project Overview: The Wave (Rail) Stage 1 Brownfield Package The Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR), in partnership with the Beerwah Coast Connect Alliance (Laing O'Rourke, Hatch, and Georgiou), is seeking Expressions of Interest (EOI) for the Asbestos Removal work package (Tender ID: icnwp141987) associated with the Stage 1 Brownfield Package of 'The Wave' rail project in Queensland, Australia. ๐ Scope of Work 'The Wave' is a major infrastructure initiative delivering a new passenger rail line connecting Beerwah, Caloundra, Birtinya, and Maroochydore. The Stage 1 Brownfield Package focuses on critical upgrades to existing rail, station, and road infrastructure, including: Station Upgrades: Modernizing Beerwah Station for DDA compliance, including new platforms, vertical access, and enhanced facilities. Track & Rail Infrastructure: Modifications to existing track, new freight holding roads, and the construction of a grade-separated rail junction. Precinct & Utility Works: Road realignments, active transport links, bus interchanges, and extensive utility relocations.
