ποΈ Project Overview: The Wave (Rail) Stage 1 Brownfield Package The Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR), in partnership with the Beerwah Coast Connect Alliance (Laing O'Rourke, Hatch, and Georgiou), is seeking Expressions of Interest (EOI) for the Spoil Disposal and Haulage work package. This project is a critical component of 'The Wave,' a major infrastructure initiative designed to deliver a new passenger rail line connecting Sunshine Coast communities, including Beerwah, Caloundra, Birtinya, and Maroochydore. π Scope of Work This work package focuses on the essential logistics of spoil management and haulage required for the Stage 1 Brownfield Package. The broader project scope includes: Rail Infrastructure: Upgrades to Beerwah Station, construction of a new third platform, and a new grade-separated rail junction. Track Works: Modification of approximately 4 km of existing track and provision of a new freight holding road. Precinct Development: Road realignments, bus interchanges, active transport links, and expanded park-and-ride facilities. Ancillary Works: Drainage, earthworks, retaining structures, and the management of waste and contaminated materials. π Key Requirements for Bidders Registration: Interested suppliers must submit EOIs via the ICN Gateway and are encouraged to register on the Beerwah Coast Connect Felix - Enterprise Marketplace Platform. Compliance: All works must align with modern accessibility standards and the Disability Discrimination Act 1992.
