๐ Project Overview: The Wave (Rail) Stage 1 Brownfield Package The Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR), in partnership with the Beerwah Coast Connect Alliance (Laing O'Rourke, Hatch, and Georgiou), is seeking expressions of interest (EOI) for the Station and Building Clean work package (Tender ID: icnwp142009). This project is a critical component of 'The Wave,' a major infrastructure initiative designed to deliver a new passenger rail line connecting Sunshine Coast communities, including Beerwah, Caloundra, Birtinya, and Maroochydore. ๐ Scope of Work & Requirements The Stage 1 Brownfield Package involves extensive upgrades to existing rail and station infrastructure. Key requirements for contractors include: Station Upgrades: Modernizing Beerwah Station to meet Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) standards, including new platforms, vertical access, ticketing facilities, and CCTV/lighting. Infrastructure Works: Track modifications, new freight holding roads, and the construction of the Beerwah South Yard stabling facility. Precinct Development: Road realignments, bus interchange facilities, active transport links, and public utility relocations. Cleaning & Maintenance: Specialized cleaning services for station buildings and associated infrastructure to ensure operational readiness and public safety. ๐ Location & Timeline Location: Beerwah and surrounding areas, Queensland, Australia.
