๐Ÿ—๏ธ Project Overview: The Wave (Rail) Stage 1 Brownfield Package The Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR), in partnership with the Beerwah Coast Connect Alliance (Laing O'Rourke, Hatch, and Georgiou), is seeking Expressions of Interest (EOI) for Civil Works related to the Stage 1 Brownfield Package of 'The Wave' rail project in Queensland, Australia. This critical infrastructure initiative aims to deliver a new passenger rail line connecting Beerwah, Caloundra, Birtinya, and Maroochydore, integrating with the existing North Coast Line. ๐Ÿ“‹ Scope of Work This work package covers a comprehensive range of civil and rail infrastructure requirements, including: Rail & Station Upgrades: Modernization of Beerwah Station, including a new third platform, vertical access, and enhanced passenger facilities (ticketing, CCTV, lighting, and secure bike storage) to meet Disability Discrimination Act 1992 standards. Track Works: Modification of approximately 4 km of existing track, provision of a new freight holding road, and tie-ins with the Beerburrum to Nambour (B2N) Stage 1 duplication. New Infrastructure: Construction of a grade-separated rail junction north of Beerwah Station and a new stabling facility (Beerwah South Yard). Road & Precinct Works: Modifications to road networks, signalized intersections, active transport links, and bus/park-and-ride facilities. Ancillary Works: Public Utility Plant (PUP) relocation, drainage, earthworks, retaining structures, and urban realm landscaping. ๐Ÿš€ Requirements for Bidders Registration: Interested suppliers must register via the ICN Gateway and the Beerwah Coast Connect Felix Enterprise Marketplace Platform.
