Project overview: BHP is undertaking a study to understand requirements around the development of Ministers North (MN); a high-grade, Brockman ore deposit located, ~13km south-east of Yandi in the Central Pilbara.As part of the project study, the Company is seeking expressions of interest (EOI) from suitably qualified contractors to gain an understanding of the capacity and capability of available contractors for the proposed project.An Engineering, Procurement, Construction Management (EPCM) contracting model has been selected for the MN project. The EPCM contractor will act as agent for Company, for the supply of some goods and services.The Project scope is comprised of all facilities and infrastructure (permanent and temporary) required to support the potential MN development.The scope to be delivered can be characterised across the following categories:1. Greenfield - Mine, and associated Infrastructure A new mine at MN; Construction of a combined use Light Vehicle (LV) /Surface Mining Equipment (SME) haul road. Dual lane LV/SME tunnel arch structure. New level crossing over an existing rail line provided for construction access, prior to completion of the bridge. Water supply pipelines from supply location to MN and from MN to Yandi; New fuel storage and refueling including associated facilities at MN; Communications networks including digital radio, internet and cellular services; and Temporary construction infrastructure (including offices, warehousing, lay-downs, water and workshop).2. Brownfield - Modifications and tie-ins New primary and secondary crushing facilities and associated screening facilities at Yandi including partial demolition of existing eastern front-end facility. Modifications to existing Yandi infrastructure (including overland conveyor, Coarse Ore Stockpile, scalping screens, tertiary crushers, product screens and conveyors) to produce fines products. Relocation of existing power line to avoid the MN orebody. Conversion of existing Train Loadout facility (TLO2). Modifications to the existing reclaimer, yard conveyor and transfer station. Upgrades to existing Yandi explosives storage facilities; and Extension of raw, fire, and potable water services at primary and secondary crushing facilities.3. Other Non-Process Infrastructure to support the new operation Administration offices, first aid, crib rooms and ablution facilities at MN, including associated potable water, sewerage, and oily water systems. Maintenance bays and fuel facilities at MN; Re-use and expansion of the existing Yandi Mobile Equipment workshop facilities; and Tie-ins to existing power, raw water, and communications networks.
