🏗️ Project Overview: Aurukun Bauxite Project Glencore Bauxite Resources Pty Limited is inviting Expressions of Interest (EOI) for the Aurukun Bauxite Project, a significant greenfield mining development located in the Aurukun region of Western Cape York, Far North Queensland. This project aims to establish a large-scale bauxite operation with an anticipated production capacity of approximately 8 million dry product tonnes per year, spanning a life-of-mine exceeding 20 years. 📋 Scope of Work & Requirements The project involves comprehensive infrastructure development, including: Mining Operations: Conventional truck and loader operations with on-site ore beneficiation. Logistics & Export: Development of a Coastal Loading Facility (CLF), transhipment vessels, and bulk carrier export systems. Infrastructure: Construction of haul roads, power generation, water supply dams, tailings storage, and telecommunications systems. Support Facilities: Construction camps, accommodation villages, and operational workshops. Equipment: Procurement of heavy mine equipment, product haulage machinery, and IT/communications systems. 📅 Procurement & Delivery The project is currently in the technical and approvals phase, with a final investment decision pending. Construction of mine infrastructure is estimated to take 2-3 years following the investment decision.
