Project: Ballarat Major Events Precinct (BMEP) Project owner: DEVELOPMENT VICTORIA Location: VIC Australia Work package status: Open Scope: Full Scope Work package description: Express interest for any opportunities that may arise for this project. Project overview: Development Victoria (DV) has been appointed to manage the project on the Victorian Government's behalf. Kane and Nicholson Construction will be completing the project as a Joint Venture as the main Contractor. Both Kane and Nicholson have proven past experience delivering similar projects in the past and have a strong long relationship delivering successful projects together.The works will involve a multitude of packages many typical of any Construction project, but also unique packages related to sports infrastructure development such as the new eastern grandstands and field of play scope of works. These grandstands and its related infrastructure will be delivered to the latest AFL standards and similarly our athletics track will also be delivered to the latest world Athletics standards in order to attract to best sporting events to the town of Ballarat. Work packages involve major bulk earthworks, landscape (Hard & Soft) and civil works including carparking, Concrete structures, structural steel and structural timber design elements and all typical services and fit-out finishes related to the grandstand structure and its amenities underneath.The project involves other specialist trades such as Field of Play athletics track construction, Sports lighting and a significant Audio-visual scope of works across both the stadium areas as well as Athletics track. Another significant design consideration was the implementation of Indigenous cultural heritage design elements into the works which will include specialist signage, brickwork and metal cladding artworks as well as paving detailing which includes Indigenous design elements.HOW TO REGISTER AN EXPRESSION OF INTEREST (EOI)To submit an EOI, companies must have an ICN Gateway company profile.
