Summary and scope
This project involves the design and construction of a new sewage pump station (SPS) and all associated sewer and water infrastructure required to connect into the broader network. Key components include: • Design of the reinforced concrete sewage pump station wet well and valve pit structures; • A 4.5 m-diameter, 10 m-deep reinforced concrete wet well incorporating a duplex pump system (1 duty, 1 standby) with pump flow rates between 70–90 L/s; • Four (4) new manholes, new GRP sewer mains, and new UPVC sewer mains designed to provide direct connectivity to the new SPS; • Extension of the water service to the new wet well to ensure adequate operational supply; • Installation of security fencing around the SPS site to secure the premises; • Commissioning of new SPS; and • Decommissioning and demolition of exiting SPS.
