2018.064 REOI for Minor Civil Works Panel

Summary and scope

Mount Barker District Council is calling for Expressions of Interest from qualified contractors for Civil Works, with successful respondents being included on a panel of contractors. The panel arrangement will be for a term of three (3) years with an option to extend for one additional period of two (2) years. Use of Contractors on the Panel will give Council the security that it is dealing with appropriately licensed contractors who are accredited or committed to relevant standards, have proven knowledge of Work Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality Management and are appropriately licensed and insured. Minor civil works are generally up to a value of $250,000 and contractors may apply to be part of a Level 1 or Level 2 panel. Level 1 works are generally up to a value of $100,000 and best suited to small contractors, with Level 2 up to $250,000 and suited to medium - large contractors. At this time of inviting Expressions of Interest, contractors qualified and experienced in the following work categories are required: a. Earthworks / Stormwater / Sewer mains b. Road pavement construction and rehabilitation c. Asphalt (supply and lay less than 500m2) d. Footpaths / Kerbing construction/reconstruction (paving, concreting etc) e.
